EMPLOYMENT INFORMATION
Worthington Fire & EMS tests periodically to fill both full-time and part-time positions within our organization. Our testing procedures are designed to find self-motivated, hard-working individuals looking for a challenging career in community service. Full-time members typically work one 24 hour shift followed by 48 hours off duty. OT (1-1/2 x pay) is sometimes available and paychecks are received every 2 weeks. Part-time members work one 12 hour shift every 6th day (or night) and are payed every 2 weeks as well. They receive OT pay when working holidays.
We develop a hiring list through an established testing process as vacancies arise. Typically these lists are maintained for a period of 1 year, but the list may be extended at the City's discretion an additional year.
